Sofia Amaro

I'd like to say that I started my artistic journey as soon as I could hold a pencil. Though art has always been a constant, it was in high school that I truly embraced it, enrolling in drawing and painting courses, designing logos and posters for my school co-curriculars, and finding any excuse to incorporate my skills in the classroom.

I make art to engage with my community on a more personal level. I have always been an introspective child, so this is the way I connect and express my ideas to others. I dig deep from my own thoughts, opinions, and observations to create pieces that require more intimate attention from viewers.
